Award Summary:
Funds are being used by the Boys & Girls Club of Pleasants County to launch two evidence-based programs—SMART Moves and Career Launch—and to purchase a transit van to expand access. SMART Moves equips youth with social-emotional skills, refusal strategies, and healthy decision-making, while Career Launch provides job-readiness training, career exploration, and goal-setting. By combining prevention programming with workforce development and reducing access barriers, this project supports youth in rural West Virginia and promotes long-term well-being.
