Award Summary:
Funds are being used to implement the Behavioral Health Workforce Pipeline in Region 2, strengthening the trauma-informed behavioral health workforce across Berkeley, Jefferson, and Morgan Counties. This investment supports a structured pathway from education to employment for students, recent graduates, and Peer Recovery Support Specialist candidates through coordinated classroom instruction, supervised field placements, and credentialing support. Resources fund training focused on trauma-informed care, adverse childhood experiences, and protective factors, along with partnerships that provide practicum sites and employment pathways. By aligning recruitment, training, and job placement with regional needs, the initiative expands workforce capacity, improves quality of care, and establishes a sustainable, replicable model for behavioral health workforce development.
