Award Summary:
Funds are being used to expand Brian’s Safehouse’s long-term residential recovery program by constructing a new recovery home on its Raleigh County campus. This investment increases WVARR-certified bed capacity for men, addressing a critical shortage of transitional and long-term recovery housing in Region 6. Resources support the development of additional recovery spaces that allow more individuals to access a structured 12-month residential program, aftercare services, and transitional housing. By reducing waitlists and expanding access to stable, recovery-oriented environments, the initiative strengthens recovery outcomes, supports transitions to independence, and helps restore families and communities across southern West Virginia.
