Award Summary:
Funds are being used to strengthen reentry outcomes for justice-involved individuals across Regions 5 and 6 through the Jobs & Hope WV initiative. This investment supports the placement of a Reentry Liaison and Peer Mentor within Residential Substance Abuse Treatment units to provide individualized planning, mentoring, and case management prior to release. Resources fund tailored reentry plans that include education, vocational training, and workforce preparation, with continued support after release through job placement, life skills coaching, and connections to housing, recovery, and community services. By combining evidence-based practices, peer mentorship, and coordinated case management, the initiative creates seamless pathways to employment, stability, and long-term success after reentry.
