Award Summary:
Funds are being used to strengthen reentry supports for justice-involved individuals with substance use disorder transitioning into community living through Recovery Point Bluefield. This investment expands wraparound services that address key barriers to successful reentry, including education, transportation, health care access, and connection to social services. Resources support a GED class facilitator, transportation and reintegration needs, pre-release enrollment in Medicaid and other benefits, and coordination of initial medical visits. By combining education, recovery support, and coordinated care, the initiative promotes stability, reduces recidivism, and helps individuals build sustainable pathways back into the community.
