Award Summary:
Funds are being used to construct Cathy’s Haven, a WVARR-certified, 20-unit recovery housing facility for women in recovery and those reentering the community after incarceration in the Northern Panhandle. This investment expands access to safe, stable housing in a region with high overdose risk and limited recovery supports. Resources fund new construction and integrated wraparound services, including case management, peer recovery support, relapse prevention planning, and connections to outpatient treatment and medication-assisted care. The program also provides parenting and life skills classes, employment coaching, transportation, and educational supports. By pairing stable housing with coordinated recovery services, the initiative reduces recidivism, lowers overdose risk, and promotes long-term stability for women and their families.
