Award Summary:
Funds are being used to strengthen the Women Inspired in New Directions reentry and recovery program for justice-involved women in the Northern Panhandle. This investment expands transportation and housing capacity, two critical barriers to successful reintegration and sustained recovery. Resources support the purchase of vehicles to provide reliable transportation to medical care, employment, education, court obligations, and recovery meetings, as well as occupancy costs and furnishings for recovery housing beds. Combined with individualized case management and peer recovery coaching, the initiative improves stability, reduces recidivism, and promotes long-term recovery and self-sufficiency for women returning to the community.
