Award Summary:
Funds are being used by United Summit Center to address high overdose fatality rates in Braxton, Gilmer, and Lewis Counties through Quick Response Teams and Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion programs. These initiatives bring together law enforcement, EMS, and treatment providers to respond within 24–72 hours of an overdose, divert low-level offenders into treatment, and distribute naloxone. By providing warm handoffs to services and addressing housing, education, and employment needs, the project reduces repeat overdoses and strengthens long-term recovery supports.
