Award Summary:
Funds are being used to deliver Camp Mariposa in Mason County, expanding prevention and mentoring services for youth impacted by family substance use disorders. This investment supports year-round, evidence-based weekend and day camps that provide safe, structured environments for youth ages 9 to 17 to build resilience, strengthen coping skills, and develop positive peer and mentor relationships. Resources fund the delivery of evidence-based curricula integrated with therapeutic and recreational activities, ensuring consistent, high-quality programming that promotes social-emotional learning and self-esteem. By reaching up to 80 youth over 12 months and embedding services within broader community wellness efforts, the initiative works to prevent future substance use and create lasting pathways toward healing, hope, and positive life outcomes.
