Award Summary:
Funds are being used by the Jackson County Quick Response Team to expand from a part-time to a full-time, five-day-a-week program. The project provides immediate support to individuals after an overdose, including no-cost transportation to treatment, help obtaining vital documents, and connections to recovery programs. By distributing naloxone, training first responders and community members, and doubling service capacity, the initiative strengthens the community’s response to the substance use crisis and reduces fatal overdoses.
