Job Summary:

This position plays a pivotal role in the strategic direction and operational efficiency of the foundation. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the COO will lead and oversee various functions including strategy planning and execution, organizational development, sponsored program performance monitoring, budget adherence, operations and process management, program development and launch, as well as establishing and maintaining partner relationships.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Strategy Planning and Execution
    • Collaborate with the Executive Director and executive team to develop and implement organizational strategies to execute the foundation’s vision.
    • Identify opportunities for strategic initiatives.
  • Organizational Development
    • Lead efforts to enhance organizational effectiveness, including talent management, performance evaluation, and succession planning.

    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation throughout the organization

  • Sponsored Program Performance Monitoring:
    •  Oversee the performance of sponsored programs, ensuring vision adherence and contractual obligations

    • Implement monitoring mechanisms to assess the effectiveness and impact of sponsored initiatives.

  • Budget Maintenance:
    • Develop and manage the organization’s budget in collaboration with finance and executive leadership.
    • Monitor budget performance and implement corrective measures as needed to ensure adherence to financial targets.
  • Operations and Process Management:
    • Streamline operational processes and workflows to optimize efficiency and productivity.

    • Implement best practices in project management and resource allocation to drive operational excellence.
  • Program Development and Launch:
    • Lead cross-functional teams in the development and launch of new programs and initiatives.

    • Ensure alignment of program objectives with foundation goals and priorities.

  • Establishing and Maintaining Partner Relationships:
    • Cultivate strategic partnerships and alliances with external stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and external organizations.

    • Negotiate agreements and contracts to support collaborative initiatives and mutual goals.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of senior-level leadership experience in a similar role.
  • Proven track record of strategic planning and execution, with demonstrated success in driving organizational growth and performance. 
  • Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management and financial analysis. 
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and motivate high-performing teams. 
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, with a demonstrated aptitude for relationship building and stakeholder management. 
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
